"The Future's Bright The Future's Wet Fly"
My name is Alan & I live in Scotland. Sometime known as Alan the Higlander,online or simply just Highlander. Been fishing since a was a wee laddie first with the humble worm & then "The Flee" as we call it here. I am a "Traditional Wet Fly " man by choice & inclination. Stewart & Tod are my mentors & it with these long since gone & somewhat forgotten men that has shaped my fishing. My goal is to keep the old ways to the fore & in particular The Clyde Style Fly & bring it to a wider audience. I still keep up to date with modern materials & techniques but just like doing it my way,my choice & as it should be. I love the "Wild Waters" & like nothing better than drifting a Highland Lochan with a "team" of wet flies.Failing that a Scottish burn or stream will do.Chalk & Cheese but each requiring it's own discipline My nirvana, I guess I'm lucky staying in Scotland with a wealth of fine waters to choose from.
