Body hackle: Natural red game cock, palmered
Wing: Four matching slips of hen pheasant secondary, tied flat and low over the bod
Front hackle: Red Game

Probably the Irish lough angler's 'go-to' fly for brown trout, seatrout or summer salmon. Originally designed to imitate the big Speckled Sedge (Phryganea varia) of the Midland loughs but now a pattern which is fished all season through.
