Rib: Fine oval tinsel
Body: Flat silver mylar over an underbody of grey floss
Tail & Shellback: Slips of bronze mallard shoulder tied in at the bend of the hook with point extending beyond bend and tied over top of the body
Wing: Rope of bronze peacock herl twisted and wound

Developed by the legendary Irish tyer Michael Rogan in the 1960's for use as a seatrout attractor pattern on the Erne estuary in Co. Donegal, this may be the first ever purpose-designed salt-water fly pattern! It is now quite widely and effectively used on UK reservoirs for fry-feeding trout.
