This nymph pattern was developed in response to emerging chironomids and proved to work equally well as a general attractor pattern in a range of sizes on both rivers and lakes.

| Thread: | Black Uni 8/0 |
| Abdomen, rear half: | Pearly twinkle wound directly on to hook shank, no underbody |
| Abdomen, front half: | Hot Orange floss or seal's fur or Antron |
| Thorax: | Hare body fur, wound loosely, then picked out with dubbing needle |
