For nearly 40 years Art has pursued the game fishes of British Columbia, during the last 25 years with the fly only. He has written a number of fly-fishing-related books and articles on British Columbia. His main passion is steelhead fly fishing and he prefers to target the free-rising summer-runs. He has traveled to and caught summer- and winter-run steelhead from streams in all regions of the province where those fish can be found as well as in all the Pacific Northwest states from Alaska to California.
