Note: The entire fly is tied using a single rabbit fur strip. A Rabbit strip about 3” will be needed to tie a Number 8 fly.

| Thread: | Black Uni-Thread 8/0 |
| Tail: | Olive Zonker Strip (The same piece as the tail, with many of the hair fibers pulled out exposing the hide, palmered up the hook shank.) |
| Collar: | Rabbit Strip (Fur left on the hide, wrapped as a collar) |
| Head: | Tying thread |
