I am a Police Officer in London and have been for 25 years. I am currently working on a community team in Wimbledon.
I have been fly fishing for about 20 years before that I was a coarse fisherman. I still fish for anything that swims. I started tying flies in 1983 after breaking my leg. Whilst laid up I made a fly rod from a kit, then nearly had a heart attack when I found out how much flies cost. I passed the STANIC fly dressing Instructors course in 1999. I now teach fly dressing as well as tying commercially on a small scale (very small at the moment).
About the only thing I don't tie is fully dressed salmon flies as I don't have the patience. I like quick cheap and durable flies. My favourite fishing has to be Trout fishing in southern Argentina closely followed by Saltwater Fly fishing in Florida. In England I fish Bewl Water and the other major reservoirs.
