Tying instructions:

  1. Tie in large black mono dumbell eyes perpendicular to hook shank, half way down open shank

  2. Build small thread based from hackle tie in to hook eye

  3. Mix gold pulver (fine dust artist frame paint, sold in American craft stores, could substitute fine glitter)in epoxy

  4. Apply epoxy around dumbell eyes and thread base, tilt fly back and forth forming diamond shape head

Alternate body base:

  • Cut diamond shape out of hard plastic (such as from a name badge) Pinch extra small micro lead shot onto each side of diamond instead of using black mono dumbell eyes. Tie in plastic diamond at front and back. Apply epoxy/pulver mixture over plastic body and turn on wheel

Note: This is a good Redfish fly, tied smaller could be used for bonefish. Imitates crab or shrimp ie: critter.
