Harry Mason

I currently reside on the San Francisco Peninsula in Northern California.

I began Fly fishing while I was going to school at Colorado State in Ft Collins, lets just say, in the 60's. I began tying about 25 years back and currently have a few Flies displayed for the Confluence, Art and the Trout Fly at both the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art and the Prichard Art Gallery at the University of Idaho. I have tied in the theater for the International Sportsmen's Exposition on a few occasions as well.

I enjoy teaching tying at some local shops and have dabbled in commercial tying. I enjoy the waters of Northern California and make the pilgrimage to Montana on occasion. My wife and I have one son who entered Santa Clara University this past fall as a freshman. Given that fact, the idea of commercial tying again has appeal, for it certainly did not cost that much when I was in school!
