Parachute Dun

Fly: Harald Weidler, Photograph: Hans Weilenmann

Hook: Tiemco 100 #12-14
Thread: UNI 6/0 light grey
Tail: Coq de leon hackle fibers
Abdomen: Peacock quill wrapped over Loctite glue
Wing: 2 CDC feather tips, natural dun
Thorax: Antron dubbing, orange
Hackle: 2-3 turns around the CDC base in the color you like
Note: The slim body with natural segmentation of the peacock quill and the marks of the hackle in the surface seem to imitate the natural insect very well. The CDC wing in combination with the parachute hackle results in good floatability.
