Note: These were the first Green Drakes I had ever seen. A hatch on the Ottauquechee River in south central Vermont. I had never seen any thing like them. I managed to catch a couple of samples. They measured out at just under 3 inches and had a pale green color to the body. Your basic parachute pattern in a giant size package.

The three unusual ingredients are the body, I could not find something to give me the body color. I found by taking a strand of the Sili Leg material, tying it in then stretching it as I wrapped the body I got the color I was looking for, plus a nice segmented body. There's a glow-in-the-dark Sili Leg that gives you the color associated with "Coffin" flies when wrapped this way. I decided to use the CDC to provide a little bit more flotation. The Glow-in-the-Dark Wing Post helps with the visibility of the fly in the twilight.
