Sulphur Sparkle Dun

Originator: Craig Mathews, Fly: Jason Freund, Photograph: Hans Weilenmann

Hook: TMC 900BL or equivalent
Thread: Yellow or light orange
Wing: Semi-hollow Deer hair (Blue Ribbon flies carries some of the best)
Shuck: Brown Zelon
Body: Dry fly dubbing (shown is a blended rabbit mix by George Close, for midwestern sulphur hatches)

Notes: A Craig Mathews original. Simple tie that is extremely effective. I tie sparkle duns for everything from Hexagenia to Pseudocoleons. To fish, treat wing with paste floatant and hold fly by the wing and soak the body. Fly should be fished in the film. Great on still water and floats surprisingly well on moderately swift riffles.
