Tying instructions
- Tie in 3-4 pheasant tail feather fibers by the tips and fine copper wire.
- Wrap the pheasant tail fibers to mid hook shank.
- Attach Zelon fibers over top of the hook shank and trim front portion.
- Pull the Zelon over the back of the abdomen and secure by counter-wrapping the wire ribbing.
- Pull Zelon tail to stretch and cut at about 30-degree angle with the length about ¾ of the hook.
- Dub a thorax.
- After attaching the Dar-lon under wing to the top of the hook, trim the front stubs and cut the back at a 30-degree angle over the hook point.
- Attach CDC as an over wing the same length as the under wing. Trim butts.
- Secure materials with head cement.
- Dub the head and whip finish.
