Note: Information from Hans...“The parachute design was patented by William Brush from Detroit, MI. His patent application was granted in 1931 in both USA and England.” Tying instructions
  1. Start thread.

  2. Clip, clean, stack and tie in calf body hair for post. Be sure to take several wraps in front of the post to make it stand up. Add head cement to the post base. 3. Wrap thread back to just above the hook barb.

  3. Create a small thread ball on the shank just above the barb.

  4. Tie in and split two Microfibetts for each side. The thread ball will help elevate the tailing fibers. Use the tag end of the thread to split the Microfibetts. Pull this tag end over, Tie down and trim.

  5. Dub a sparse amount of muskrat under fur (no guard hairs) onto the thread and create a tapered body up to the post.

  6. Tie in the grizzly hackle at the post. Bring thread behind the eye and let the bobbin hang.

  7. Start wrapping the hackle around the post with each successive wrap going underneath each other. Tie off and clip hackle.

  8. Dub a sparse amount of muskrat under fur (no guard hairs) onto the thread and create a thorax.

  9. Whip finish and head cement. Add a drop of head cement at the base of the post.
