Sheep Creek Special
Note: This fly was created by the late George Biggs of Idaho. This is a great lake pattern for trout. Tying instructions
- Start thread and tie in brown hackle. Should be 1 ½ times the hook gap. Wrap hackle around the hook about 3-4 times and tie off.
- Tie in several strands of peacock herl. Twist the herl and then wrap towards the eye to create the body.
- Tie in a natural colored mallard flank over the top of the peacock herl for the wing. This should be about one body length.
- Whip finish and coat with head cement.
