| Abdomen: | Fly Rite or similar in preferred color |
| Wing: | Elk Hair a little shorter than normal |
| Thorax: | Fly Rite with foam over |
| Legs: | Grouse tied false |
| Eyes: | Amnesia line – burnt |
|
Note: The foam over thorax is also stretched over the eyes and tied down both behind the eyes and in front of them. The fly is supposed to float with just the wing and thorax over the surface.
