CDC Rainbow Trude
Much like the Silver Trude, but I fish this pattern early and midday and only fish it dry. I usually treat these flies with Loon Watershed after tying to ensure they will ride high on the water, as the dubbing tends to absorb quite a bit of water otherwise. Most of my fishing is done on freestone and plunge pool type water, so this can be a problem.
