This fly produces well in the evenings most all summer long in the Sierra Nevadas. The thorax style tie allows the fly to sit forward more as it floats. The biots come from the leading edge of the primary flight feathers of wild Rio turkeys, the same striped quills that are used for winging King's River Caddis and Joe's Hoppers.
