CDC Caddis Emerger

Originator: Gerhard Laible, Fly: Marcus Ruoff, Photographs: Hans Weilenmann

Hook: Tiemco 2302 (sizes 10-18)
Thread: colour of choice, I prefer either anthracite, olive or a nice deep orange
Body: CDC feather (with a body made from loop-spun dubbing it is called a Caddis Teenager)
Wing/legs: Moufflon with CDC in a loop
Indicator post: Laible flash wing
Tying notes:
Another one of Gerhard Laible's excellent patterns. This one the CDC Caddis Emerger which has proved absolutely deadly on a lot of waters in the Blackforest, Bavaria and Austria. Very versatile pattern as can be seen from the pictures. Tie it dense, tie it sparse, it will catch.
