My name is Niklas Dahlin, born in 1971. I live Storvreta outside Uppsala in Sweden.
I am among those who started with flytying before I started with flyfishing. I bought myself a chirstmas gift in form of a tying kit, searched for a hobby that could be preformed at home because of my then small children. I was "hooked" from the very beginning. So now I have been tying flies since christmas 2006.
I get my inspiration in flytying from people like Roy Christie, Rolf Ahlqvist, Johan Klingberg and Leif Örtenholm. People for whom I have the greatest respect and admiration. I hope that one day sit among them tying on a fair.
Flytying is for me.. like medicin, yoga or meditation somehow. Hard to explain, but it makes me feel really good and relaxed.
My favourite fishing is done walking by a small stream in and around Messlingen in Jämtland/Härjedalen.
