Hook: Mustad # 94840 or TMC 101, sizes #28 to #14
Thread: Uni or Gordon Griffith, olive 8/0 or 14/0,Lt.Cahill color top with brown permanant marker, lightly, it will turn olive on the sides as the marker sinks in
Tail: Split spade hackle barbs, med to dark dun
Wing: Med. coastal deer,sparse
Body: Thread on sizes #18 and smaller, brownish olive biot for larger sizes
Hackle: Medium dun

Notes:

If a sparse hackle is desired, don’t hesitate to strip one side , todays genetic hackles have an over abundance of barbs and stripping is another way to get your hackle collars tighter on biot and quill body patterns.
