Bullethead Bugger

Hook: wide gape, medium weight, mini-barb
Head: pierced .22 air gun pellet. Cut off 'apron' with a stanley knife, pierce bullet with dubbing needle
Thread: Brown 6/0
Tail: marabou or arctic fox
Body: dubbed fur
Hackle: wet fly saddle hackle, tied in at eye and pa lmeredback toward bend
Rib: sliver or gold wire, or tying thread tag. Wound up body, through hackle counter clockwise, anchoring the hackle

Note:

Cheap and cheerful way to add a lead head. No grief if hung on bottom or in a tree.
