Hendrickson Wet

Fly: Tim Didas, Photographs: Hans Weilenmann

Hook: 1x long wet fly hook #12-16
Thread: Uni 8/0, dun
Tail: A few strands of dark brown Antron yarn, shrouded by 3 wood duck flank feather fibers
Body: Dubbing blend of pinkish fawn red fox, olive, dun, orange and yellow fur. Overall color should be an olivish-tan with "highlights"
Hackle: Medium blue dun hen or medium ginger
Wing: Formed by stripping hackle fibers from a dark dun hen body feather, or Wood duck flank feathers

Notes:

A good pattern when the fish are reluctant to come to the surface during the Hendrickson hatch...usually due to cold water. Seems to be more effective when fished as a pair.
