Hook: Any streamer #6-12
Thread: Working thread white 6/0. Head is black 8/0 Uni
Tail: Golden pheasant tippets
Rib: Uni XF-oval silver mylar
Body: Red floss
Throat: Small bunch of Ringneck pheasant tail fibers
Wing: Grey (original) or Black (Mr. Bill Black) squirrel tail
Head: Build up a smooth head. Whip finish and coat with Dave's Flexament. Paint the Iris and pupil with "Tulip" fabric paint or similar.

When dry, coat with Sally Hansen's "Hard as Nails" for an almost epoxy-like finish.

Notes:

Tie an underbody of white thread before wrapping floss. I've tied these on Tiemco 9394 nickle plated hooks for a nice effect. The wing on Mr. Bill Black is natural black squirrel. This fly was originated by my fly tying mentor, Mr. William Messner.
