Fly: Thomas C. Duncan, Sr., Photograph: Hans Weilenmann

Hook: TMC 2302 size 10
Thread: Rusty Dun 8/0
Shuck: Olive/brown CDC
Tail: Wood duck fibres
Shellback: Opal Mirage Flashabou strands
Ribbing: Oval gold tinsel
Abdomen: Olive iridescent dubbing
Thorax: Olive iridescent dubbing
Legs: Golden pheasant tail fibres
Wing: Bunched sharptail grouse fibres over olive/brown CDC

Note: Wood duck is used for the tail as it looks more anemic on the large fly. The wingcase surrounds the emerging wing to look like the old case falling off the body.
