Aurivilli Spinner

Fly: Terje Refsahl, Photograph: Hans Weilenmann

Hook: TMC 102Y 102Y #13 (12-16)
Thread: Serafil thread
Tail: Coq de Leon barbs
Abdomen: Kapok dubbing. (Made by splitting the tread and touch dubbed)
Thorax: CDC dubbing
Wing: Blue dun rooster hackle

Note: I first saw spent spinners with wings made of tied up hackle in a video of Norwegian flytier PŒl Krogvold many years ago. This spent spinner changed my view on flyfishing with spent spinner. This floats for ages and works much better than polyyarn wings etc. My favorite spent spinner.
