Streaking Caddis

Fly: Wayne Luallen, Photograph: Hans Weilenmann

Hook: Daiichi 1310 #6-18
Thread: Gudebrod 6/0, color to match hair
Body: Fur dubbing to match the natural
Wing: Roe Deer or Nature's Spirit Compara-Dun hair (White Tail Deer)

Tying notes:

Head and wing are from the same clump. While holding the stacked tips, spin the butts with thread (as per a Muddler collar) with tight winds of thread. Trim the wing underneath flat from hook eye to bend. Then trim the top and sides with the scissors pointing from hook bend toward they eye; reverse what one might think.
