Tying instructions:
- Start the thread and tie on the eyes
on top of the shank with figure 8 wraps, and base wraps (simply wrapping horizontally under the eyes) about one third back on the shank. Wrap the thread back to the bend.
- Stroke the fibers of the marabou plume toward the tip, and tie the plume in as a tail, about two shanks long. After securing the tail with several firm wraps, wrap back to behind the eye on the shank only.
- Twist the rest of the feather into a rope, and wrap it forward in tight turns to the eye. Tie it off behind the eye, trim the feather butt, and whip finish.
