TF PMD
Note: The thread fly is designed to accentuate profile/silhouette and movement of the CDC shuck. One CDC feather and thread. It is deadly on selective fish. The fly can be tied as an upright wing or a cripple.
Tying instructions:
- Tie thread in at eye and form abdomen and thorax with thread.
- Tie in CDC by the butt about a quarter of the way back from the eye with the dull side facing up.
- Loop the CDC back toward the bend and then forward toward the eye forming a wing case loop. Leave some CDC to form an upright or forward wing.
- Before tying off, stroke some CDC Barbules back to form shuck.
- Tie off and trim. Wing should be forward for cripple over eye or upright for dun.
