Deer hair, natural, flared like a Compra dun
Wings – cock hackle, grizzly, Wonder wing, take a large pair of neck hackles from bottom of cape, cut and discard the bottom half of hackle. Take about 5/16” to 3/8” of barbs at base of stem and stroke backwards. Grab the backward stroked barbs and tie in behind the deer hair hackle. Do not tie in the stem. Cut off tips of hackle when the fly is finished, only the tips. |
