Dryflies -The best are the small ones- is his favorite, but he is always excited to try out the new techniques and materials. One of the best rivers for catching seatrout is almost running right through his backyard, and is also where he tries out the new flies he invents. Gerhardt mostly fishes in Scandinavia but Sweden is his favorite, because in Sweden theres always a good chance catching grayling and trout which are his favorite to catch.
Gerhardt can be seen tying flies at the Fly Fair in Kolding, Denmark, and many other exhibitions.
