Note: This fly is an adaptation of Bob Popovic’ schoolies striper fly. There are periods when pike will actively target pin fry, swimming around in large schools, and will conveniently ignore anything larger, both natural (i.e. edible) and artificial (i.e. with hooks...). I hope that this fly will attract Esocid attention better than a single fry fly. Using mustad sea king hooks is necessary because these are soft enough to be bent in shape without fracturing. To increase hooking potential, the point is also offset with regard to the frontmost part of the stem.
