Note: Another Newfoundland standard, this minimalist fly is used in all sizes. In sizes 4 and larger, a tail of golden pheasant crest and a flat silver rib are sometimes used. In the smaller range, this can be an effective riffling fly, with the stiff moose hair contributing to its surface action.
