I am veterinarian by profession and breed Coq de Leon for a hobby.
I was born in 1963, and started fishing at the age of five with my brother Antonio using a spinning rod and three flies. Since 1990, I fish exclusively with a flyrod, mostly for trout in my homewater rivers Ter, Segre and Noguera Pallaresa. These rivers are
situated in the Pyrrenean mountains in Spain.
In my teens, I did not have enough money for flies and tackle so my trick was fish near a parish priest. Sometimes he would snag a fly in a tree and because he fished wearing a soutane, or gown, he was not able to wade out and retrieve it. I would note the location and the next morning, while he was in the church, I would gather "my" flies. I suspected he snagged at least some of his flies intentionally!
