Tail/shellback: | Light elk hair, tied so that the fine ends of the hair form length, and the cut ends extend over the head of the fly |
Thorax: | 2-3 turns of pale grizzly |
I have no idea where this pattern came from. It was shown to me by another South Holston River fisherman. When the trout get around to taking midges from the surface, this fly works better than most. I carry it in a variety of thread/body colors, from #16 - #26. |
