Hendrickson Wet |
|
|
|
Hook: | 1x long wet fly hook #12-16 |
Thread: | Uni 8/0, dun |
Tail: | A few strands of dark brown Antron yarn, shrouded by 3 wood duck flank feather fibers |
Body: | Dubbing blend of pinkish fawn red fox, olive, dun, orange and yellow fur. Overall color should be an olivish-tan with "highlights" |
Hackle: | Medium blue dun hen or medium ginger |
Wing: | Formed by stripping hackle fibers from a dark dun hen body feather, or Wood duck flank feathers |
Notes:A good pattern when the fish are reluctant to come to the surface during the Hendrickson hatch...usually due to cold water. Seems to be more effective when fished as a pair. |
