Note: It looks rather busy in the vise, but slims down a great deal in the water. Not only does it catch its fair share of Summer steelhead, but makes a good trout streamer as well. It is easiest tied in the smallest sizes since the upland game bird feathers tend to run on the diminuitive side. Hungarian partridges have a nice "spear" feather which looks nice as a wing, and is usually a bit larger than the quail feathers.
